@jaymum23 totally agree. It seems the Japanese have old GM mentality and got complacent on interiors. While the big 2.5 are improving. Can't wait to see the new Altima.

@rowsdower12 Yeah, I gotcha. The spy shots of the 2013 interior look promising, as does the new Pathfinder, but you can't dash stroke spy shots, so we'll see. The crux of my post is how disappointing the other Japanese mainstreamer interiors were, and that the Hyundai/Kia ones are nice but not mind-blowing. Ford and GM are doing much better lately as well.

@jaymum23 I have no doubt that newer Nissan's are better. And hopefully as time goes on get better as far as interior.

@jaymum23 I guess that's objective. I think a lot of carmakers are using excessive plastic or at least cheapy plastic. I agree Toyota and Honda are guilty of this. Nissan isn't far behind. I think the new Camry has too much plastic, it looks nice but when I touched it it was hard plastic. Yuck! Korean's might not be there yet but they will give the others a run for the money.

@rowsdower12 I disagree. They have been known for high-quality interiors that are light on flashy gimmicks. This has been the case since roughtly 2007. One would be hard-pressed to argue against the Altima, Maxima, Rogue and Murano having the best interiors in their classes from a pure quality standpoint. Toyotas and Hondas are now the exclusive realm of hard plastics, some of which you can break off with a bare hand. The Koreans aren't much better, but look more flashy.
