I was not sure how this worked. I like to take my car apart. It started years ago, when I was looking for a summer job. I found out I can work at a shop that built jeeps from scratch. I decided to do that, can you think of it, the thought of putting a model airplane is one thing, but an entire vehicle.
Anyway, they deliver these cars in kits, with instructions and all to assemble the jeep. First you assemble the body, then you assemble the the engine, this was very interesting to me. It was hard work as these garages are never air conditioned. Anyway it took me and a coworker a month to put it all together, but that jeep was my pride at least until it left our shop.
So I tinker with parts ever since, I recently discovered there were many parts a Nissan xterra shared with a jeep. But then again there are some uniqueness. I would suggest to others to retrofit their xterra into a jeep as much as possible. Mainly because it can be done.
